Makers+
Makers+ is a partnership between 8 European institutions dedicated to the creation and dissemination of training modules focused on skills in use in fabrication laboratories (FabLab) and Maker Spaces with an application in the Industry 4.0.
What do you want to learn?
Makers & Makerspace Culture
The Maker movement is a cultural trend that places value on an individual's ability to be a creator of things as well as a consumer of things.
Craft & Materials
If you want to learn more about materials used in technology and their environmental impact, this unit could be useful.
Documentation
Sharing information is very important in Maker culture. Makerspace, Hackerspace and Fab Lab communities share their tutorials and documentation of their projects while they are creating their own works
2D Conception
Learning the basic skills to use a program that draws in 2D is essential to be able to use laser cutters, vinyl cutters or other 2D conception tools. This module will guide you through the first steps.
2D Cutting Machines
The 2D cutting machine modules will teach you all about how to use laser and vinyl cutters. With step by step instructions and easy to follow guides to help you get started.
Milling
The CNC Milling machine is a versatile and powerful tool to have in Maker space. It can work with multiple materials, wood, metal and plastics for both large and small projects.
Basic Electronics
In this module, you will be reminded of the basics in electricity, the difference between DC and AC current, and you will learn the main electronics components, tools, actuators and sensors.
PCB Design & Manufacturing
In this module you will learn how to design and produce your own printed circuit board (PCB). It will make your electronics more reliable and compact compared to a breadboard. Furthermore, it allows for mass production
Programming
Programming is used to bring rudimental intelligence into your projects. Basically, you tell a computer or micro controller in a basic language in easy words how to react on certain inputs.
3D Conception
3D design adds another dimension to 2D design. As in 2D design this design can be handmade (painting, sketching), but also made with computer aided design processes.
3D Printing
The 3D Printing modules will teach you all about how to use both FDM and SLA 3D printers. With step by step instructions and easy to follow guides to help you get started.
